From the long Island Scooter Club Blog:
For the past 6 years TWANGSTOCK has been held at Marbles Mahoney's HQ, known as Rancho De Angelo in Levittown. Originally concieved as a way to thank all of the fans of Marbles' band Strange But Surf, it has become one of the most popular Music Festivals on Long Island. The backyard party has become world famous and has grown by leaps and bounds every year. Last year it expanded to include Long Island's first Scooter Rally as well and swelled to a 2 day event. This year the festivities come the The Charles Ave Cafe! It is time to give the neighbors a break and introduce you to The Charles. The Charles has been the scene of Marbles NEW Monthly party called The Happening! They have a great covered Patio and a big backyard that you can feel at home at and have a great time. Bring the kids too, but please be aware that it is over 21 to drink. There will be of course a ton of bands starting on Sunday, Sept 4th at 2pm with The Suck It Easy Band, voted LI's best cover band by The Long Island Press, BTW. We will have plenty of Twangburgers on hand as well as Scooter Dogs. Admission is still FREE! The Scooter Rally, sponsored by The Hornets Scooter Club of Long Island & The Absolute Scooter Club! We are working with them to plan events and rides to make this truly a joint effort Scooter Rally! Stay tuned to this site for more details about the Scooter Rides and Band line up and times and much more. You can depend on Marbles for a few surprises as always and to bring the best bands around to entertain.
