Post subject:  Sunday 8/12/12 - 2 Forks & 2 Ferries Ride

2 Forks, 2 Ferries, 2 Islands, and just 2 much fun.

It's that time of summer where we'll be heading out to get a good glimpse of ALL of Long Island. Ride route is carefully being planned out and will be revealed as the date gets closer. In a nutshell we'll be going over a ferry to get to Shelter Island, ride across it, maybe stop there for lunch, then take the next ferry to the other fork.

There will be stops along the way. They will also be announced as the date gets closer.

This will be an all day ride.

Meet at the Gourmet Deli, 514 Central Ave, Bethpage at 9 am for breakfast. Ride will begin at 10. Please arrive with a full tank of gas, well as full as possible. There is a gas station 1/2 mile east on Central Ave.

This ride will, at times, hit speeds of 60 mph. There will be two routes coming back. One highway, for those needing to move faster, and one scenic, more slow route.

Weather looks like it will cooperate tomorrow. Should be a beautiful day for a ride. Remember to bring money for the ferries, gas, and food. Looking forward to meeting new faces.
