Have a Honda?? Want to show some pride?? Ever met Thom from Motosport in Riverhead at the Honda dealer?? Well now is your chance.

We'll be doing a Honda Pride Ride. Everyone is welcome regardless of make but we'll be asking the Honda's to stay up front. This ride will hit speeds of 60 mph. When we get to the Honda of Riverhead Thom will lead us on a nice back roads ride to some lunch destination. Ride out will start mid island then end up on 25a and Sound Ave.

Meet at the Gourmet Deli, 514 Central Ave, Bethpage at 8:30. Ride will begin at 9. I'm hoping to make it out to Riverhead around 12:30 give or take a half hour. We may have another planned stop where we can pick up additional riders if there is any interest. If you've never ridden around on the North Fork you're in for a treat.

Does your scooter have an

H in it?? What about an
O?? Maybe it has a
N or possible a
D in the spelling. I'll bet if it has none of the others it has an
A somewhere??

Well if it does, or even if it doesn't, you are welcome to come along. If you have a preference on the bikes you can chose from, chose the HONDA!!

This is taken off the NYSC forum. Thom of Honda of Riverhead and a Progressive Insurance agent is a great supporter of the scooter community. Last year he let people test ride various scooters. Fern took off on one and was gone for over 1/2 an hour. Thom almost went out looking for him. Thing was, Fern didn't know the area and kind of got lost. :lol:

FYI: I will be leading a "SLOW" tour @ 30 MPH Max of the Peconic Bay area on my vintage 1982 Urban Express Deluxe along with my lovely wife on her vintage 1982 Urban Express non Deluxe!!

We'll end up @ Lenny's Pizza in Jamesport for lunch!! Maybe Don Leonardo can get us "family" discount?

After Lunch we will head West and continue the "SLOW" tour of the Long Island Sound and the Northville Tank farm. We'll stop @ Briarmere Farms where you can pick up some excellent fresh baked fruit pies to take home for dinner.

Also if anyone needs an inspection this is another post by Thom when someone mentioned it.

Weather is looking good.

I'm going to be making a stop at the Dunkin Donuts on the corner of 25/Middle Country Rd and Hawkins Ave/Stony Brook Rd which I believe is in Lake Grove/Centereach. On that corner is the DD, a 7-11, and a Hess gas station so it should fit all our needs. I'm guessing it should take us about an hour 1/4 to get there depending on the size and experience of the group. If anyone wants to wait there and join in you are more then welcomed.

Don't plan on seeing much of 25a for this ride. We may cross it a few times.
