Last week I had the privilege to hang out with Jay, Brah, at his newest venture. He's in the process of opening, or kind of opened, a total Custom Work - Restoration - Repair - Maintenance - Modifications - Parts and Accessories shop in Hicksville. As well as Winterizing, Winter Storage and Spring Tune up. He's partnered up with Giovanni who handles most everything with an engine but scooters. Jay will be covering the scooter end as well as dipping into a couple of other things. The shop will have a retail area too. You need an oil change? Jays got you covered. Need new tires?? Call Brah. Looking for some storage for these cold winter, non-riding days/weeks/months?? Jay! From soup to nuts Jay said he'll be doing all. I don't have a Ruckus you're thinking?? I asked Jay that. He'll cover any scooter. Including, gulp, the Chinese stuff. Now you know I'm a big fan of Jimmy at Zoom Scooters but Hicksville is so much closer for Nassau and Suffolk. Finally!! It's been too long that we have gone without a scooter shop. Especially your "mom and pop" style shop. Brah, is planning on having monthly BBQ's along with a little cafe in front as a meeting place for rides. He even mentioned setting up a Toy Run. I'm guessing we may even squeeze in a late night, hey L8Night SC, ride when shop closes.

So how can you reach Jay??

646-739-4706
170 Engineers Drive (located behind Apple Bee's off Hicksville Rd (107) Next to Lowe's)
Hicksville, NY

Jay mentioned late hours. He's talking 10a-10p. This will help if you need to drop off your scooter after work.

It's a little hard to find the shop at the moment. He hasn't put the sign out front but the shop is in a little alcove with a boat in front.

Let's all try and support Brah with his new business. Good luck and success with Makoa Scooter Shop
