Makoa Scooters & Absolute Scooter Club

Today, homelessness is a harsh reality for tens of thousands of Long Islanders and more than half of them are children. Bethany House relies on your generous donations in order to continue to provide its programs to these women and children.

Bethany House exists to strengthen and assist those women and children from Long Island who are deprived of the basic resources required for natural and healthy growth and development. Bethany House seeks to provide a homelike atmosphere where basic living needs are met and comprehensive services combine to encourage the head of the family to attain self - sufficiency for the family and restore their human dignity.

Makoa Scooters and Absolute Scooter Club will be leading a collection. Items will be delivered to Bethany House in Roosevelt before Christmas. Items will be collected for mothers and children ages 4 months to 12 years old.

For the moms Body Wash was mentioned specifically as something they like. Other items may could be: Body soap, puff, synthetic washcloth, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, shampoo, conditioner, brush, comb, lotion, Vaseline, feminine hygiene products, deodorant, nail clippers, file, tweezers, hand sanitizer, vitamins, baby powder, etc.. For the babies, Onesie’s, bottles, pacifiers, stuffed animals, etc. For the other children unwrapped New Toys.

Donations can be dropped off at Makoa Scooter. Please note all donations will now be dropped off at the new Makoa Scooter Shop. 480 Smith St, Farmingdale. Down the block from Black Haus Brewery. Collections will be accepted up until December 21. Toys and Toiletries will be delivered on December 22 at noon. For more information call 646-739-4706.
