2011 - Saturday August 13th - 2 Forks & 2 Ferries Ride (and Montauk?)
Weather permitting as always.
Meet 8:30, Gourmet Deli, 514 Central Ave, Bethpage, Ride will begin at 9:00.
We will take a nice winding way out Route 25A, Sound Ave, into Greenport where the north ferry will be boarded. We'll ride and explore a little of Shelter Island then take the south ferry to Sag Harbor where we'll have lunch at Vincenzo's Pizzeria. If you like pesto you'll love the pesto pizza slice. A ride to Montauk Point, from here, can be done depending on the wishes of the group. On the way home I'll take Dune Rd before jumping on Sunrise Highway for a fast ride home.

Lunch will be at Vincenzo's Pizza in Sag Harbor.
We will be taking the scooters on the ferries so we can ride across Shelter Island.
We will ride across the island and get on the North Ferry to Greenport. The South Ferry is $7 and the North Ferry is $6.
This will be an all day ride. There are always interesting things to find along the way that may detour our course. For example: some may chose to go off road.
There may be other delays:
I'm planning on not being back till about 9 but that's just to cover myself a little.
